Being a year round bike commuter in NE Atlanta, I have started to get more and more questions as the gas prices have risen. The other day someone asked me: "Is it safe?".

"NO!, and if you have to ask that after driving in Atlanta traffic, just get a hybrid." The gas mileage on the bike is a bonus, the ride's the thing.
