03 speedmaster with long off roads and hasent been re jetted since they were put on. I am looking to get an airbox removal kit and have seen the freak, the brittish customs kit and one at my local dealer. Same price, whats the difference? Since I need a re-jet, can anyone hand out some advice since i've never done my own.

Freak from Brent at www.newspeedmaster.com comes with main jets of your choice. Just tell him what you want.

Click on "Search" and type in "+british +customs +freak"(without the quotes) and start reading. I built my own so I can't really speak to which one is better. Don't forget the Ghetto freak and brokenfixed's hacked battery bracket.

I like Brokenfixed's set up, but it's not for everyone. Someone had problems with one of the kits and ended up making their own, it may have been the BC kit but not 100% sure. The "Ghetto Freak is a good option to save money. I have the Freak and as much as I hate to say it I like it, although after I got I was kind of POed it was so expensive. I could have easily made it myself.

I am running 48 pilots and 155 mains with gutted stock pipes and K&N pods and no AI. Seems to be the ticket for me, I haven't dynoed with these jets but my plug color is perfect and the bike runs really strong.

"Hacked" is such an ugly word..ahha...I painted the bracket and it matches the frame paint perfect

Heres the pic of what I did to my bike Chris, like Ian said its not for everybody

Heres a shot of the rerouted wiring hidden under the seat

Is anyone seeing any gains in torque by putting one of these in?

the only good thing about the one from british customs is the tool box, the cover brackets suck

Freak....its pricey but its proven to work well.
Just remeber to trim the frame bolt to size otherwise you have to dent one of your air filters.

Freak. It's not a bad investment if you have the money. True about the bolt though, but that's nothing.

Staintune Pipes, K&N Pods, 45 pilots, TBS needles and 145 mains.

doooood, save some money first and do the ole "drill the bottom of the airbox and cut off the bottom of air filter" mod. Costs 0$ and gives you almost the same results. I fact, I would ponder to say ~90% the same performance results.
Also, it is easily reversable and did I mention it costs ZERO $$?

I like the look. alot. But I don't have the means or the knowledge to do that. I recruted my neghibor to help with this (12 year auto mechanic) but he may start chargeing me for beer soon if I spend days to weeks with my bike splayed out all over his girage. I didn't order the kit yet, i want to give you some time to start mass producing the ghetto kits so I can order that one

That ghetto kits probably not gonna get mass produced...ahha...it lacks the government funding hence the word "ghetto"...You gotta do that one yourself
