My TBA is a 2003. It does not have the tappered fork issue. The $289 was with the quick release brackets - everything needed. I also have an 2005 AIH Texas Chopper which has a small tomestone style windshield. The little windshield is better than nothing but in my opinion if you are buying a shield to make your ride more comfortable then go all the way and block that wind. If you are bar hopping then just leave it at home. I bought the TBA for a comfortable pratical ride and The Memphis Fats has made all the difference. And I like the way it looks with the windshield on. Like Mike said, it might not be removed. Once you ride with it, the difference in comfort makes taking it off just not worth it. Good luck.
