Yeah, as I recall, they took a while on my 44T rear as well. The AL is nice, just for the reduction in unsprung weight, but it was sure expensive. I've got a Parts Unlimited X-ring chain that was like $30 cheaper than the D.I.D. but it's holding up just fine.
