Thanks for the encouragement. The Interstate route is just a placeholder to give me distances. I plan to leave Ottawa Aug 1st and get to Seattle Aug 14 or 15. That will allow me 11 easy days of 300-ish miles and 3-4 days off the bike. I'd sure appreciate pointers on roads and sights along my route. My only anchoring points are that I do want to see the Black Hills/Mount Rushmore (it's that whole "North by Northwest" thing) and I want to see Yellowstone Park. Aside from those I just want roads that will let me make decent progress west. Oh, and I might look for some Lewis & Clark sightseeing action too.

Also, anyone with a spare bed (or a large closet) and willing to bunk me a night in there could PM me.
