Just got back from 2 1/2 weeks in the South West USA.

Did 2800 miles around all the sites, popular and not so popular. Saw hundreds of bikes (90% of which waved or gave that oh so cool hand sticking out thing)

and only saw one Triumph, a Bonnie ridden by the largest bloke I've seen for a while. Looked like a moped.

I rode a Harley, you've just got to and really enjoyed the big lumbering thing but was missing the Speedy and telling everyone what a great bike it was.
Expected to see a few Americas/Speedys about, you must have all been somewhere else.
What a place for riding a bike, you lucky lucky people and you're still moaning at $4.12 for a gallon.
Anyone on this side of the pond, I cant recomend the trip highly enough, dont believe our beliefs of long straight roads, I've never seen as many bends, in the words of a great American, they were awsome.

Got to diet now cant fit in my leathers, you boys can eat.

Cheers
Chris
