Easy question to answer this, I'm a new owner of an 08 America and have been playing with the rear preload, hardest setting fine for a pillion but the bike was originally set on position 2 but now I'm finding that 2 feels like its bottoming out, it might be me or our crap roads. Setting up to 3 sometimes feels a bit springy. What settings are you using?

Put mine on 5 the day I got it. I need the max available ground clearance to keep from grinding holes in my pipes in the twisties. Maybe one day I'll get around to upgrading shocks and fork springs. Keep hearing how much better they ride.

My stock shocks are set on 3. Any less is too much sag. Any more is not enough damping.

Mine are on four. I weigh 265lbs. Five works too. I'll be upgrading sometime soon though.

Great, thanks guys. I've now settled on 3, 4 for me is far to hard and springy and 2, well our roads are bad so the suspension bottoms out very quickly.

At 160 lbs. I can get by on the 2 setting, but I keep mine at 3 for a slightly stiffer ride and it's much better when my wife rides w/o having to change it.
