Hit 103mph over the weekend!
I know that our speedo's might be 5mph off, but i still count that as a TON!!

7 of us were cruising back home on the interstate, when I noticed my buddy's saddlebags were about to fly off.
I needed to pull over the 'gang', so I raced past everyone, then realised the first 2 riders were way up in front. Opened up the gas, next thing I know is I'm doing 103!
Should have seen the look on the leaders face as I blew past her, yes her, Suzuki M109R and she was probably doing 95

Well , ole Mole , if yer speedos' 5 mph off , and you were reading 103 , well , maybe you better go back and look for that ole demon that lurks out there at an indicated 106 mph , and kick his butt !

Put yer feet on the buddy pegs and put yer chin on the gas cap , you can do it .

Careful! It's addictive! The ton is no longer a thrill, now I feel like I have to bury my speedo!

The way I see it, a tonne up is when the pointer says a tonne up. When I was younger and my beard was a different colour, we din't have no fancy fangdangled radar gizmos, so we accepted whatever the gauges said.

Is it just me, or has anyone else here noticed how Graybeard is starting to morph into a Brit with the way he spells stuff? Or is that the way New Mexicans (or Old Mexicans; I ain't ageist) 'colour' their words in 'The Cattle Capital of the Southwest?'

Find a longer stretch of road! I don't have quite as much headwork as you and I can top 120 MPH in a jiffy!

Old habits are hard to keep under the rug. Between having a mother born in Manchester and grand parents from someplace in Wales, (maybe Cardif, not sure) Shannon, Blair Athole and Edinburgh, all that I learnt at home came from the auld sod. Cripes, I can even remember my great uncle who had a serious case of "do lally tap" from the Bore war whipping out his sword and, thinking they were bores hiding out, run through several prams parked under the 'apples and pears' (stairs) by his apartment.

Ya'll may call me a liar but here goes... I hit 110 on my otherwise bone stock BA yesterday. When I backed off it was still pulling strong. Wonder what it could have done if I had the guts to stay in it.

I won't. I've hit an indicated 115 on my Speedy (16 tooth).
It's stock except for the 16" shorty 'mufflers'.

My BA would do 115 stock, just not quickly. After the BB install, it doesn't even break a sweat gettin' there.

If it ain't come apart yet, it probably won't. Give it ******!
My break-in consisted of a 5 mile "listen", then straight to the rev limiter! Neve babied it. Runs strong,no smoking, no leaking, and just the right amount of valvetrain clatter. 7000 miles since the install and no problems. Don't be afraid to wind her out, shell take it and beg for more!

I should start posting every time I break a ton but you guys would get tired of hearing about it every time I get on my bike.

Let my dying thought be that every mile was fun and let my tombstone read,"They never made one fast enough for me."
