I'm surprised the french truckers havnt gone on strike over fuel yet..they usually walk out if somone farts in the wrong direction.

The percentage you're paying is too high-priced While you're living beyond all your means And the man in the suit has just bought a new car From the profit he's made on your dreams

So all the bikes are going to go on a "Go Slow" into the city center during peak hours. Excuse me for being a dimwit, but, go slow, peak hours. So wheres the protest. Looks more like business as usual to me.

Kudos to you all. Hope it works. The truckers had a go slow on the M40 Westway into London while io was there last week.

Though it might also be pointed out that some half wit in Parliament will see all thes bikes riding slowely and put two and two together and figure out a way to slow the bikes down. Put the gas tax up even more. Gotta be cheaper than the GATSO system.

Have fun boys. Anybody remember the Poll Tax riots back in the 80s.

Protesting wont lower the price of fuel, unless you are protesting the punitive taxes associated with. If you really want the price to go down, build more refineries, and tell your local futures market a**hole to quite driving up the price just to make a buck ala the .COM bubble.

2007 Custom America with BUBs I make my own parts cause I cant afford to buy theirs.

68p (at the mo) of the 112p of fuel is TAX. We know the price of a barrel of oil is the highest it's ever been, but we far more tax on our fuel than anyone else. It's the tax that's the issue. And they're on about putting more tax on again.... And as the price of oil goes up we pay more tax, as VAT is also added, and that is not a flat rate.
If it wouldn't have cost me over £30 to get there and back to the protest I'd be there.

I was in Paris in October 1981 when there was a Bikers protest ride out against compulsory crash hats. They caused havoc but the riot Police blocked the roads with armoured buses and then cut off their retreat with police cars. They then waded into the protesters with their batons swinging. No warning just violence.

If you do it today you MIGHT regret it. If you CAN'T do it tomorrow you WILL regret it.

Yes, they are known to do that to Greenpeace boats too.

I never complain about taxes here in the US. In comparison to the UK the USA is a tax haven.

Petition signed.
i,d be inclined to think this action will do nothing but pizz off the people of Manchester . be much better blockading a oil refinery or the houses of parliament (wheres Guy Fawkes when you need him)etc .something that affects the polititians directly ,otherwise they dont get it nor give a monkeys .imho.

Lowering consumption will lower the price

Protests are as effective as posturing politicians -
both offer a good chuckle to those who set crude pricing

I dont know if less consumption would lower prices...I think more likely the oil companies would scale back production and reduce work forces inorder to keep price and profit high.
