The other Triumph site got sold. Wow they now have a base site thats free or a pay site that gives you avip lounge if you pay you can get rid of the ads and boy are there ads.
It be a good day to send some money to the future fund
Robert does this site for free and I personally would like to keep it that way

I remimber when "the other site" was started..the founder was talking about it at the Fayettiville , AR shop one Saturday morning....many moons ago....it felt kinda special to have a genuine Triumph site on the web....time has marched on and the "other site" gave into crass commercialization and really lost its early , front porch flavor.....the front porch flavor is still alive here, on this site....lets keep it live and local yall !

Where does it say they got sold? Looks like they just added an enhanced premium option subscription model.

Maybe you meant to say "The other Triumph site sold out."

TriumphRat.net was created in 2001 and exists to promote a friendly, on-line community specifically related to Triumph motorcycles. While the information on this site is primarily related to the Triumph marque, riders of all makes and models are welcome to join. TriumphRat.net is also a part of the Motorcycle.com Network, reaching out to a wider audience of motorcycle enthusiasts.

When was TriumphRat.Net Started?
The first version of TriumphRat.Net was a small site created for a local rider group, lasting just a few months. The second version of TriumphRat.Net was started in December 2001, and existed for over five years. A third version was later introduced, running an entirely different core portal structure.

The site you see today is the fourth version of TriumphRat.Net, after joining the Motorcycle.com Network.

Triumph Forum: Triumph Rat Motorcycle Forums is a part of the Motorcycle.com network of professionally managed motorcycle enthusiast communities. It is the ultimate motorcycle resource for consumers with discussions ranging from advice on which motorcycle to buy, to the latest part and modification for tuning-up the hottest bikes. It is owned and operated by VerticalScope, an established leader in consumer-generated media, and on the cutting-edge of Powersports media.

I hope we dont sufer the same fate...being sold and becoming a paid membership type of site.
I got turned off to the other site by a few things over time...
1) I found BA.com (which is by far a better place to be).
2) Anytime BA.com was mentioned on the other site the post was deleted.
3) They recently got rid of the seperate America/Speedy portion and absorbed it into the rest of the site.

I still lurk on the other site but rarely if ever post anymore. The site overall doesnt seem to be to adversly affected (I dont get pop ups like some have complained about) but it did lose something...cant put my finger on it tho.

I haven't posted for a long time over there and hardly visit anymore. sorta feel alienated with all the changes and then sweatmachine becoming a moderator was something I never expected. ( not that it's a bad thing) it's just they're going through a lot of changes over there. It's going to take a lot of getting used to and I'd rather spend my time over HERE.

I think I posted there twice,

Once to intro myself, I think the only one that replied was sombody that recognized me from here.

Hanvt been there to lurk in over a year...Cant remember what my pass word was either.

Used to check out the clssifieds but they had some weird rule you had to have x number of posts to be able to buy somthing or was it sell somthing,,Dont remember
anyhow it was pretty freaking boring too formal.

Hi Cynthia, the one in the picture is Moe's 2002 at the Allman Brothers Big House.
But yes I do have a Cardinal and Silver 2003, fast as fast can be.
What area of Kentucky do you live in?
Mike

I havent browsed the forums over there in a year or longer. I did post once earlier this year to announce the RAT Lunch in Chehalis and that was about it. This is home.
