just luck of the draw I guess. Other stuff that I have ordered from the internet has gone straight on through to the keeper but not the pipes. It did not help the fact that I was at sea when they came in so it was left up to friends to help sort out the problem.
I have since found that as of the 12 oct 05 you do not have to pay GST/customs duty on privately imported stuff if it is under $1,000. my pipes came in on the 07 oct. Also all the stuff going on the the customs computers did not help I would guess. It was even more fun trying to find out what happened to them after they had cleared customs and I was trying to find them in the aussie post system.
