I'm posting it here as it's about another bike, but I did contemplate posting in the technical bit...

I've come up to my parents as it was a sunny day yesterday, and I wanted to finally ride my 3HW. Me dad said he wanted to check the timing and then out for a pootle - just around the block, then I was gonna venture further and get an ice cream.
Did the timing, then the bit holding the points would slip. Re-do it, get not to slip. No spark. Check EVERYTHING, change the armature, change the housing (incase its the magnets inside), change the plug, still no spark. The continuity in the circuit is there, and it SHOULD be working, just doesn't. I have 5 weeks - or rather my dad has - to get it sorted, else I can't do the track day it's booked for.

No panic, but I don't want to miss that for a stupid thing.

I'm just really looking for suggestions. And no, changing it for a modern thing is not an option, I'm still skint... and they are over £500. I've looked...

Gina 03 America - Pretty stock - except the TBS wheel... 06 America - missing, presumed in bits. With it's TBS wheel... 09 America - It's very blue....

Make sure the kill wire is not grounded or pinched someplace. Unlike battery ignition, magnetos ground the points side of the coil to shut off the engine.
