I leave my bike in neutral at the lights...not for the cool but for the rest...ok and the cool as well
. I got caught once last year, day dreaming...yeah I know ...lethal! A combination of that and not being able to select a gear, not being ready because I wasn't watching the intersecting traffic stop thus leaving me immobile as the lights changed. I felt lucky to get away with it. I now select 1st with plenty of time before the light changes...Now lane splitting is a different story. Cagers are sometimes offended and try to race me at the lights...pfft! too slow loser
