Jake, that might work GREAT. Actually saw something similar on another website, but wasn't sure about the fender curvature. But, if it works on your Speedy, then it'll work on the America. The Americas (at least the older ones like mine) have a M8 (I think) threaded hole on the fender instead of a stud for the quick release system. I know during the '03 Georgia Rally, a couple guys (I think Robert was one of them) swapped seats from a Speedy and an America without much of a problem. Think you just solved my problem. How sturdy does it seem?
