I don't "hate" any mechanical thing, except maybe the shutoff valve in the dishwasher that failed 2 weekends ago, but that's a whole 'nother topic....
What I "hate" is the attitudes on all sides of the subject.
If you want a 'busa, a Ferarri, a Corvette, a Kenworth, a Vespa.. - don't matter to me.
But if you drive/ride with a total disregard for laws, other people's rights, common sense, and become a statistic that can be used against me, or worse yet, kill/injure an innocent, then you are a worthless fool.
But it's human nature to want to be king, so I don't see any resolution to this based on intelligence. It will only come via legislation that takes us all down with a broad sweep of the brush...
I don't hate crotch rockets. But I do hate reading about them making me look bad by association.....
