I definitley would not say that crotch rockets are safer than cruisers by any means. A bike, no matter what kind of bike it is, is only as safe as the rider is careful.
I dont hate sport bikes at all. I do like them. I really would like to get a 675 someday. Watching some of those guys on the track or in the back hills is pretty darn amazing.
You absolutley have to remember that a sport bike is just a completely different bike than a cruiser meant for different kinds of riding. There are many different types of bikes for different kinds of riding and different type of people who prefer different types of riding styles.
Here is what I do not like. I do not like some of the idiots that buy sport bikes (see my first point) at the same time I dont like some of the morons that buy cruisers either.
