Al, I'll have to admit I haven't studied the regulator side of the connector, only the fuse block side which has two brown leads, that's what I was referring to.

Mikemm03 had his mod hooked directly to the regulator side of the connector. Actually he had the wire out of the regulator's connector, a crimped blade connector attached and shrink wrapped neatly, and then run directly (I presume) to the positive terminal on the battery with a 30 amp fuse in line for safety. That's my plan as an added mod when I install my chopped air box and K&N pods in the very near future. As roadworthy properly states, it's about the gauge of the wire being large enough to properly carry the current to the battery without overheating.
