Hi guys - I've lurked for a while here and decided to join/post/contribute. I am going to pull the trigger on a new bike, and have the choice of a 2008 America/Speedmaster or a 2005 America, new (never sold) at about $2,000 MSRP. I would get the warranty either way, but I'm curious about your thoughts. Some of mine:
Is the power substantially different from the 2005 to the 2008? I know the engine grew in 2007. Did this make a big difference?
How much would I wish for the adjustable clutch and brake (also new in 2007)? I'm a tall guy, so maybe not much.
Should I worry about a 2005 that is still around unsold? I would get the warranty so maybe not, but it seems strange to me that a dealer still has this.
How negotiable are the prices on the new bikes?
