My girlfriend decided she was finally ready to climb back onto my bike. Her first experience didn't go too well. She has had problems with her hips since high school and sitting in a single position doesn't help.

We went on ride and was about 40 miles one way. And that's about all she could take before needing to stop. Well at the end of the day I asked her what problems she was experiencing. Mostly it was her tailbone getting jarred around, having to sit in a single position and not able to flex her hips and of course numb butt.

I was hoping to do Skyline Drive here in VA this Saturday. She wants to go also and said she'd just pop some kicking asprin prior to riding.

So to any passengers out there, is there anything you've learned from your experiences that have made your ride time more bareable and enjoyable? I'd hate to think my gf has to drug herself anytime we decide to ride past the city limits.
