Well.....if someone were to even so much as begin to lecture me on the need to wear a helmet on any group ride they would cordially be invited to put a smack on my nether region. The request to kiss that region would be undboubtedly clear and couched in terms that would allow no
misconceptions as to its authenticity.
I would never dream of approaching another rider and suggesting that he or she must wear a helmet. (as long as the law allows it to not be worn)
Anyone who does or would should be prepared for flack from those of us who dont appreciate that.
I can imagine myself approaching a rider sans helmet at the start of a PGR mission and suggesting he or she "needs" to wear a helmet. Its one of those "never gonna happen scenarios"
It would just be bad behavior in and of itself.
Learning to live and let live and to not be judgmental with the non helmet all encompassing non gear wearing crowd is a necessity in a group environment.
