Ah! Now while you DO make an excellent point with your droll little story there Bill ol' chum, please allow me the opportunity to put this single malt scotch on the rocks habit of mine in the proper perspective for you by utilizing yet another little story, or perhaps if you will, an analogy! And ironically considering this venue around here, the following will be framed within the subject of motorcycles!
(and of course Mike, you may be interested in this too, ol' chum!)
You see, the storied Triumph Motorcycle Company of jolly old England during all of it's glorious past had never before attempted to manufacture a vertical-twin engined Bonneville, or indeed ANY motorcycle in what might be considered the "American fashion"(in today's lexicon, "a Cruiser"), that is UNTIL those wise fellows at Triumph finally premiered in the model year 2002 what we've all come to know and love as the Bonneville AMERICA.(or just THE "America", since 2003 of course)
Am I correct in this observation, gentlemen? Yes. I believe I AM!
In other words, those said wise fellows running Triumph delivered onto the world stage a way to make a CLASSIC born and bred on that grand island situated off the coast of Europe EVEN BETTER by giving it a distinctive AMERICAN FLAVOR!!!
And so in this same vein, when I add three ICE CUBES to my two fingers of single malt scotch, I am in essence PERFECTING YET ANOTHER CLASSIC by adding those ICE CUBES!!!
Oh and BTW, I assume that both of you gentlemen know why those denizens of said little island always suffered from a scarcity of ice cubes and thus unfortunately were NEVER previously able to perfect in this same manner the consumption of this classic potent potable before, don't you???
Yep! Those poor devils over there ALSO had to contend with a certain Mr. Lucas and his rather poor refrigerator designs for many years, and thus were never allowed THEIR opportunity to enjoy this wonderful elixer in this same perfected manner that all GOOD AMERICANS should now employ!!!
