Actually a young friend of mine purhased a used Beemer that he having some front end work done on before he can ride it and he went to great detail to tell me he was going to wear all manner of protective gear. I told him that was fine but advised him not to be judgmental of those who "choose" not to wear all the gear. Most importantly I adivsed him to take the MSF basic course and to do his best to learn to ride his machine in order to lessen the odds of it killing him outright.
Basically I told him he could wear a turqoise and orange iridescent kevlar lined, armored suit and I would respect him but probably laff at his appearance.
