Here are a few pics of my 06 Speedmaster...I have a few more exterior mods to do to it before it is complete...And ALOT of engine mods left to do.

A close up of the Supertrapp exhaust and relocated turn signals/brake lights.

The Clubman Bars (wires inside..that was fun) and GPS mount.

The midline pegs...left side complete with shifter.

I am still working on a dual curcuit rear brake so I can place a rear brake midline as well.

I like it! Any chance of seeing more pics of the air filter turn arounds? I was thinking of something like that too. Good looking bike, some nice ideas.

Here are some closeups of the turn arounds. They are made simply from 2 1/2 black ABS 180 degree plumbing...with the lettering sanded off and painted.

An overhead of the Right side.

Another of the right...notice the crankcase breather.

The left side turn around.

The left head on.

The right head on.

Not my cup of tea but nice work, I like the forward and rear set both with the functional shift at the same time. Work something for the rear break would be cool , like maybe a pedal with an ear that sticks up and would move forward with a linkage rod to the break pedal so when you push the rear pedal it pushes the forward break pedal.

By not my cup of tea I don't mean I don't like it, just not for me. I like the classic cruiser look, no mid or rear set pegs or any of that and a laid back seating position.

I am thinking of empolying a cable linkage between the forward brake pedal and a rear peg. I have ridden it like it sits for close to a year and mostly use the front brake even when on forward pegs....and aggressively downshift when on rears.

And as soon as I figure out a set of molex connectors, I plan on being able to interchange between the clubmans and the stock drag bar for laid back cruising. Just have to find a small enough set to fit inside the controls...or just purchase another set of controls for the drag setup.

very nice job. Could you tell us more about the extra front lights and how you mounted them. Are they doubling as a front turn signal? The induction setup is very cool.

Nice! Love the turnarounds on the air filters. What is with the two orange switches with the safety covers?

Yes, the front lights double as turn indicators. They started life as a set of ricer drving lights. I removed the blue mouse condoms from the accent rings and replaced the bulbs with amber ones. They are attached to the mounting clamps on the Triumph flyscreen.

Yhe switches (which used to be red) are switches for my heated gloves and socks. Or any other heated accesory.

Supertrapps...I do not remember what model except they are 2 inch inlet. I purchased them from Summitracing.com. I had to have a set of intermediate pipes made and bent. I also had to reposition the rear peg hangers out about an inch to mount them up cleanly.

The exhaust looks like Super Trapps.

EDIT: Just looked at the closer pic and they say Super Trapp right on them!

****** I'm a plumber and I never even thought of those turn around ideas.... I bet traditional "enfield" piping from england would look cool and someone could leave the "made in england" right on the pipe???

very nice bike though!!!!

Good use of the pee-traps.How do they affect the performance, same power? Also how do the Supertraps sound? Thought of those before. My 05 Speedmaster I did mid-mounts and just turned the front pegs into highway pegs.I moved the shifter and brake back.Had to do a lot of custom work, but I have had it on there over one year now.I repositioned the rear mastercylinder to the back below the seat.I do like your linkage idea.Great job.I am 50 now and I got to move my legs around, they get uncomfortable in one spot for too long.Cool bike.

The only effect on performance I have seen using the turn arounds is jetting is..."interesting". I'm running 145's and still feel it is rich. SInce it is a 865 the jetting calculator is not exact...and I have added the additional varable. Now at speed it does get a ram air effect which is great.

The SuperTrapps sound incredible. I do not use any of the diffuser discs on mine, but can easily put them in. Gotta get her on a dyno and find out what jetting and how many discs to use for maximum gains.

The brake lights are intergrated into the turn signals....10 red LEDs...2 for running lights and the other 8 as brake lights. No tag lights at the moment..but a set of LEDs will fix that too.

Well aware that the turn arounds are not unique...just wasn't going to pay the amount he was charging for 2 chunks of pipe. Same with the front airdam...It is not the one made by Triumph...rather one i fibreglassed myself.

I like it.
I've been interested in getting mid controls on my Speedy for some time now.
Could you possibly provide more pics on how you mounted them? The others I've seen here and on trat.net all seem to use the center stand holes but I'd rather not do them that way.
Looks like you used the exhaust mount hole on the back half of your bracket but where does the other end go to?

Yep, I just fitted the one I got from fasteddy a few weeks
back. I like having the centerstand...would only give it up if midpegs were an easy fit to the cstand holes. But I like the looks of this set up better so I can have my cake and eat it too.

I used the centre stand holes to mount the main support for the midline pegs...The other chunk of aluminum is mounted to the lower rear peg hanger mount to keep the pegs from twisting. I do not know how the stand will mount, but I want one and will have to re-engineer the pegs if I cannot use the mouont as the anchor. If I must change the mount...I will probably fab a piece of heavy steel and mount the mid pegs forward of the rear peg hanges, using the mounting points of the rear hangers for both.

And thank you for the compliments on the air dam....still needs to be sanded and buffed, but turned out good...just hope the rest of my fibreglass work will turn out as good.

MastaN I noticed a little rust in your handle bar bolts.I had the same problem.I took a black paint pin and painted the tops and inside socket part of the bolts. It's something small, but it always bugged me on my bike. Also I may try your or whoevers idea with the peetraps for the air filters. It's a lot cheaper than the air box elemination kit for $300.The Supertrapps are a tad much for me right now, maybe one day. They look good on there,I would love to hear them.Maybe one day you can post a sound bite if you know how(I do NOT know how,sorry.).

Well, you've certainly personalised your mount! I particularly like the way you've eliminated the rear/stop light assembly. I would do the same, unfortunately the law in the UK does not permit. I am however, trying to figure out a way to "tidy up" our oversized reg plates, if only to reduce the drag factor it creates! I too, want to do away with the mirrors, but I'm not a fan of bar-enders. I have some convex Motrax pipe-clamp type which I used to have clamped onto the indicator stems on a Tuono I had a couple of years ago, but I can't find a way to attach them to my SpdM.
Nice work all the same!

The supertrapp mufflers were actually less expensive than most other exhaust systems out there...at around $150 per muffler. THe intermediate pipes were around $5 each and the muffler shop swagged and bent them for free, but I cannot imagine a shop charging more than $10 to bend a couple of pipes. So that makes a grand total of a bit over $300 for my exhaust setup. Now keep in mind my Supertrapps have a 2 inch inlet. The smallest inlet on the style I have, but they do offer 1 3/4 on one of their other lines...a bit shorter pipe, but since an intermediate is needed, not much of a problem.

Back to sanding my custom smuggler style seat...

Do your legs hit the air filters? Maybe in fast turns with your knee up against the tank? Trunk looks nice, lots of work.Could be a nice feature, could get rid of the bags then for around town riding.

My inner knee will touch the filters only when I am on the mid pegs...which is where I reside mostly. I am tall so they clear on the front pegs completely.

And yes alot of work...mostly prepping for the paint. Still have a few more projects left before I move to the major engine work.

Are you doin the big bore kit? That's my other dream.Work is slow right now, really slow.Having to put off unneeded mods or repairs.Been doing some side work on bikes.Just got to get these guys at work to start paying me some $$$ for quote "looking at there bikes,it will just take a minute." One day I guess these small freebys will pay off.Lots of side work out there. The problem is everybody wants it done for free.I usually get thanks.Well keep up the good work and somebody may come along wanting your ideas or your mods.

I was thinking of going(when I get to)with the one from I believe D&D.They sell you the cylinders already bored I coated with the nitride coating of some sort like the factory cylinders. This is more money I believe $800 or there abouts. So there sre no steel sleeves pushed into the block. They also run the Weisco pistons and it is the 904cc kit which makes it I believe 10.0 to 1 compression ratio. It's more money up front, but then you can get by with no cylinder machining and possibly do it on a weekend.
