Tire wet is usually silicone based and not always a good idea to get all over your tires , but if applied in moderation and on the sidewall portion , NOT the contact area , it's OK . I wouldn't concentrate a pressure wash spray too directly on the chain , you will drive water and grit into the seals .
IMHO , there's not really enough exposed area on the tires to justify putting tire wet on 'em . If you're not in the twisties , I suppose it's OK .
