Hi there font of all Trumper knowledge! I am on here because I have to trade in My '07 Tigger for something my hips don't groan about - and as the Phantom Black '08 Speedmeister is the most handsome beast in the Trumpet stable, that's what I shall be riding this weekend.
My biggest concern is coming to terms with the dip in power from the Tiger to the Speedmaster. My question is this - what's the best instant fix (the big bore kit I suspect) and any tips on running the engine in would be appreciated. The Tiger was a real pain to run in, so I did it all in a week. I also ran-in a R1200GS lasr year which responded well to violent changes in revs however it just wasn't for me.
Bear in mind (sore point to you cross-the-ponders I fear!) that this is an 865 with EFI not carbs, so the tuning mods are limited I suspect.
