Not sure if this is in the correct forum, if not I appologize. Anyway, a few weeks ago I was surfing through some website that was a directory of biker terms. In there was "50cc"; an endurance ride from coast to coast (Jacksonville to San Diego) in 50 hours. I knew of the Iron Butt (1000 miles in 24 hours) but that was it.

Now thanks to Uncle Sam, I've been granted the pleasure of moving from Florida to San Diego and back to the east coast again. So there's not an inch of I-10 or I-8 I haven't been on. And knowing what it was like going from one to the other I thought a 50cc was completely impossible...then I crunched the numbers. It's darn possible.

So eventually I go to the Iron Butt Association website (IBA.com) and look into it further. There's all kinds of endurance rides out there (hey, I'm still a bit of newbie to motorcycling, keep the wisecracks to a minimum lol). Well what I would like to know is who in here has done one or is thinking of doing one?

I'm really interested in doing a 50cc. Maybe not anytime soon; still have to break my rear in a bit more and take a look at next spring or fall. Also interested in the New England 1000. So experience in these particular rides is definately encouraged. And if anyone else is interested in doing one or the other...let me know! Any New England takers??
