People assume that asking questions is a bad thing, even "the same old questions." This site seems free but there is a price: interaction. We will share information with you but we want you to join the community. That said, the truly anti-social can find 99% of the answers with enough diligence.
I for one never want to see this site become the kind of place where a newbie is ridiculed or ignored for asking a question that's been asked a million times. That doesn't mean the old timers need to be at the beck and call of newbies. I haven't answered a question about AI removal or K&N pod filters in years. There are plenty of new-ish members who are willing to step up and share what they've learned, and in turn the old timers can fact-check them.
