Americas and Speedmasters for Dummies?

Those books are good to a point, but they become dated rather quickly.

Over the past 5-6 years the moderators and the members have compiled a wealth of information on here. Sometimes a search or an hour or so of tech vaulting will supply the info you need. If that doesn't yield what you're looking for, by all means ask...
Just keep in mind that mechanically, what works for some may not give you the results you're looking for, and for everything else, it's all a matter of opinion.

Excellent points. I was also going to point out the tech vault. There ARE some basics in there, plus we could add a thread FOR newbies in the tech vault, but all the basic stuff is there, just not in one single spot. But if we start making special stuff for newbies, then we have a LOT of redundancy. A newbie should look at the "using the tech vault" stuff, and go from there. Then ask questions! Most introduce themselves anyway.

Another thought, if we create a newbie section, some stuff may get ignored by the veterans, so their question may go unanswered. I think it's workin great now, just don't be affraid to speak up! Personally, I'd probably direct/remind people to do a search, but others will directly answer questions
