Has anyone bought the floorboards from Triumph (or where ever) and replaced the pegs on their America or Speedmaster?

If so, I was wondering how they liked them and how are they positioned.

What is the quality like and is the floorboard pad rubber isolated?

How easy were they to install?

I've ridden a few bikes with floorboards, including a Road King, Suzuki LC1500, Yamaha Road Star, and I really like them. It's hard to tell from the Triumph site what the fit & finish is of their floorboard accessory and about where it mounts.

fit is perfect, chrom could be better, and are a bit pricey. but i baught them and have not looked back. much more comfort and no need to be rubber isolated on these bikes. have put 9500 miles on this season and no vibration bothered me. not sure about installation as my daler installed them before i picked it up, but i have ridden an america and speedmaster with pegs and the boards would again be my first change. i say go for it and dont worrie

Jay, First time I sat on my america in the showroom I told dealer to get rid of the pegs and install the factory floorboards before I take it home. Excellent decision on my part. No regrets.

Jerry & Frank,
Thanks for the quick reply. Positive words indeed!
You're right about the price, a little much.
But I'd say worth the price, especially since I'll be keeping this bike for quite a while. I can see what you mean about not needing to be isolated, these bikes really have no vibration to speak of. Good point.

How do they look on the bike? Like they belong there?

Thanks again, ride safe!
Jay

Jay,I have the floor boards and like them on long rides as they allow you to move around in your seat for that bit of extra confort. One drawback is its harder to get to the kickstand under the board.

I love 'em on my America.

If your not in a big hurry, watch ebay and the classifieds on this site, sometimes a good used pair shows up for a lot less money...

Boards were the first mod I did. Wouldn't be without em now.
