I had the Magnums on my HD for years and really liked them. Just added a set to my Speedmaster. For me, no problem adapting to the wider field of view. On the Speedmaster, there is a bit of blur at 4500, but I feel this vibration through the whole bike, so don't feel the mirrors are just vibrating on their own. They lock down real snug with a lock washer. Used Brent's adapters with the proper length bolt that came with the mirrors. No cutting or drilling required. They are lower than the stock mirrors, so you do have to adjust to looking down a bit more than usual. Chrome plating is great. Make sure you get the Magnum
Plus as they have the longer stems.
