Don't believe a thing about the weather this far out. They can't predict New England weather 2 days ahead! I predict 85 deg and sunny.

So if the weather channel says it's raining in New England does that mean it is raining in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or Connecticut? :smartass: I roll tomorrow. Might roll tonight if Ryan has a room. Maybe I should ask Ryan. hum. Greg, it rains everyday this time of year. I heard that two years ago it rained every day at the rally. Last year it was hot as hades. I got my dollar on snow this year.

Its beautiful today. A bit different than yesterday. Lots of free firewood lying around my office today. hunderds of trees. And yes it sounded like a freight train.

Just caught up on the news. I apologize for seeming to make light of the serious weather y'all had yesterday.

Don't worry about it. We are laughing about it still. I'm down to 3 news crews in my parking lot. I spent yesterday cutting debris and searching houses. We got lucky only 4 houses in Northwood got hit. So my meeting with fema will be brief this afternoon. I swear this is the 3rd event with Fema in 2 years of being a selectman. I'm far too used to dealing with them.

Looks like I'm out for this year. We are leaving at 6am not 6pm. Which stinks I was hoping to actually do a ride with everyone for a change. Rob has laid out a nice ride for friday, enjoy NH.

Hey all, It's looking pretty doubtful that I'm going to make it ...I'm trying to schedule some job interviews for late next week (we've been informed of potential layoffs, eeek) and I've got to pick up my daughter on Saturday in Hebron NH from her camp (this requires a car as she packs like Paris Hilton). If I can come up Friday evening, I'll swing by and say hello and drool over the bikes.
What's all this nonsense about an interview being more important than the NH Rally?????!!!!! Did I lose my pretty head?.....I cancelled it (well, AND the job was paying 20 grand less than I'm making now and I'm not that desperate yet) and I'm coming up for Thurs and Frday's ride....I'll cut off somewhere after Jaffrey and head home to get the car for my daughter's copious camp luggage for Saturday.
I'll be in Litchfield for Thursday afternoon. Anyone swinging through MA on Thurs morning-ish, PM me if you want a riding companion.

I'm in early at work trying to get out early. At lunch I'll scoot home and pack the bike. The bike could use a good cleaning but I am afraid that might anger the rain gods. The weather report has probable rain & thunder storms dispersed randomly through out the day on my route south. Hopefully I can catch a good window of clear weather for this afternoon. If I make myself a pain in the a$$ this morning maybe I won’t have to come back to work after lunch. It's a plan, I never said it was a good one! Hoping for clear skies and safer riding for everyone.

Work and weather are conspiring against me!!! I can’t get out of work early and the weather is deteriorating. The little voice in my head is telling me to wait and leave tomorrow morning. My conservative sense reminds me it is never a good idea to try and make time on a motorcycle, let alone through bad weather. I'll get a good night's sleep (after a frustrating day) and get an early start in the morning. I should be in Manchester / Litchfield around 09:00. Rob how is the morning traffic in your neck of the woods at that hour? I was really looking forward to sitting around this evening and shooting the breeze with some fine folks. I guess I’ll just go home after work and clean the bike but I'll be sulking the whole time. I’ll see everyone in the AM. Matt, sorry about dinner, I’ll owe you one.

Stands up at the Mobile Station on Brown Ave Manchester at 9:00 AM trafic at that time should be much thinner...big rush is 7:30 -8:15 or so 93 should be clear sailing...Brown Ave is the Manchester Airport exit (#2) off of 293...see you then....to bad work and weather conspired...here the storm parted and rode just north and just south of us (pretty ugly one too) but we got nary a sprinkle....(a welcome change from the Monsoon NH is famous for 2 years ago

Sadly, I'm home from my (mini) NH Rally. Happily, my little taste of NH Rally Heaven was utterly deliciously scrumptious in every possible way....great people, great weather (I didn't know that Moe has a very special talent in blowing away rain- anyone who rides with him sure benefits) and a wicked pissa great ride today.
Rob brought us to an amazing spot, the Cathedral of the Pines, the website says:
"The dream of a Cathedral of the Pines began more than sixty years ago as a loving tribute to a son lost in battle. It is now a national memorial dedicated to the honor of American men and women, military and civilian, who have lost their lives in wars.
Open to all faiths, Cathedral of the Pines is an enduring monument to patriotic sacrifice. It is also an abiding testament to the universal kinship of mankind. And, above all, it is a haven for all who find peace, inspiration, and spiritual nourishment in the beauty and serenity of nature."
This TriumphGoddess sure got filled up with peace & serenity & kinship that she has now carried home. Lucky me. Happy sigh.
Thanks Rob, Cathy and Lee for all of your time and care in putting this on, and thanks everyone for being there. You all rock. Enjoy the rest of the weekend and ride safe and happy!

Well one more Rally is in the past. Last bikes pulled out just before noon. The weather was very coopororative this year, and provided us with some spectacular conditions for riding. The tags were from all corners, FL, SC, IN, NY, CT, MA, DE, GA, MD and of course NH. The roads were in decent shape (with a few notable exceptions) but then again...they were a true representation of NH roads, winters here are hard on asphault and we found some that were a fine example of what happens to them... As always, it is such a pleasure to host this event, and true joy to see everyone... It's always a ball. It's always to short.
Before the last bikes pulled out, the route for next year was being discussed and maps were being scanned for the best ways to go.
Thanks so much for all that made this weekend everything it was!
Dill, who rode the ride with me prior to the rally and was unfortunatly dbl booked and unable to attend, Lil'm and Mark for riding road guard, Brian for pre riding the roads and reporting back to me weeks in advance when my schedule did not allow for it. Lee for his help and support in the planning...and AC for her ever present support and ceasless efforts before, during, and after the Rally.
Second Wind Triumph/BMW for hoasting us and treating us so well, and Fast Eddy for his Raffle prizes, which he offers without solicitation, and in return asks only that people have fun getting them.
Thanks again to all, and we'll look forward to next year.
