I too, along with my guests, will have to bow out. I have to move closer to work because with a 108 mile round trip, the gas prices are killing me. Right around August 1st is when I'm trying to move.

Let my dying thought be that every mile was fun and let my tombstone read,"They never made one fast enough for me."

Chy,

I wish you and Di well, who knows anything can happen overnight another buyer. The place was a showcase and with the price of gas I'm seeing alot of new riders out there with paper tags.

Anyone from the south heading to the NH rally looking for another rider in your group was riding with Chy, but that went up in smoke.

Lets me know.

John

I can leave anytime after the 25th.

OK, Super 8 reservations confirmed. I am leaving Saint Albans, VT after work on Thursday. Should be rolling into the motel parking lot about 9pm.

Is it too soon to start the count down?

Keeping a good thought for the next door opening for you Chy

Don't know if it interests you, but there is a dire shortage of techs in the heavy truck industry. Direct diesel / heavy experience is often not a hiring issue, especially with your background. The engine specific dealerships often have the most modern / clean / best equipped shops. On another note, I have a number of nationwide contacts within the tank truck industry from many years of active participation within an industry trade group, if that helps. Might be one of them needs a good man to run the place.

Just a thought...

Appreciate the thought.. I've done some diesel work back in the day.. tanks, trucks, equipment...
I really like working on bikes but you ain't going to get rich at it.. or stay employed for very long it seems. Still trying to stay in that line but I've set a time limit and if it doesn't work out I guess I'll have to move along to something else.

Are we doing dyno's this year or going anywhere near the shop that y'all went to last year? I've got numbers for some places around here but as long as I get it jetted by SOPAPC (Seat Of Pants And Plug Color) method so that I'm not running lean I could wait until I get up there and save it for tech day.

Because of some last minute travel that my wife will be doing at the end of this week into the beginning next week, I am now a game time decision on the Rally. Should know by the end of the week.

Call the in-laws, call your folks, call the neighbors. Do something, quick!
Elizabeth's a big girl now? Leave enough food out and she could watch herself and Nick for a day or two, right?...

I cross schelduled myself. I'm headed out to Michgan to buy a tractor that weekend. So....
I'll come up on Thursday spend the night listening to Charlie and the yute stories, and do the friday ride. Then jump in the truck for the 12 hour drive. Hopefully that will work. Also I was hoping that my wife would do the ride with us. But she and her friends are doing a Mommy and baby camping trip that weekend which is exactly why I'm hitting the road.

Hey all,
It's looking pretty doubtful that I'm going to make it ...I'm trying to schedule some job interviews for late next week (we've been informed of potential layoffs, eeek) and I've got to pick up my daughter on Saturday in Hebron NH from her camp (this requires a car as she packs like Paris Hilton). If I can come up Friday evening, I'll swing by and say hello and drool over the bikes.

What's the weather situation? I just saw a weather report on the weather channel where they said New England is getting drenched. I'll have my rainsuit but I knew I shouldn't have washed my bike...
