Made it home yesterday, but was cooked to well done by the time I got there. It was good to meet some new people and see some of the same ones from last year. Nobody had any major problems with their bikes at the rally and it looks like everyone got home safely, which is always a good thing.

Thanks to Dwight and Judie for opening up their home to us Triumph hordes, and to Becky for bringing down the delicious Elk burgers we ate on Thursday. I hope everyone had a good time, and we'll see you next year.

For FastEddy...make that LostEddy, I have a special tribute for your Kansas adventure.

Carry on My Wayward Son

Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done driving thru Kansas
Lay your weary head to rest at a motel in Meade
Don't you cry no more

Once I rose above the noise and confusion from your cellphone call for directions
Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion
You were soaring ever higher
But you flew too far off the interstate

Though my eyes could see you were still a blind man without a map
Though my mind could think you were still a mad man for making that drive
I hear the voices when I'm dreaming
I can hear them say

Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done driving thru Kansas
Lay your weary head to rest at a motel in Meade
Don't you cry no more

Masquerading as a man with a reason
Prescott is the event of the season
And if I claim to be a wise man, well
It surely means that I don't know

On a stormy sea of moving minivan
Tossed about you're like a ship on the ocean
You set a course for winds of fortune in Prescott
But I hear the voices say

Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done driving thru Kansas
Lay your weary head to rest at a motel in Meade
Don't you cry no more

No!
Carry on, you will always remember this trip
Carry on, nothing equals the splendor of the Grand Canyon
Now your life's no longer empty in Wisconsin
Surely heaven waits for you
