Not to make this complicated, but is the main idea to cover miles and states or site members?
What do you want in the journal..? Pix and a brief commentary?
As far as maps, I believe there is a site (been mentioned on here before) called Frapper or something. Whatever the name is, someone will correct me here, each PER (Pony Express Rider) could sign in there with a date of reception and handoff....
