Anyone have a recommendation regarding a good clock for my Speedmaster? I'm thinking about a handlebar (or fork nut) type? Good idea? Bad idea? Worthwhile accessory? Thanks.

Here you go, looks like you can even setup a fording kit on your airbox and ride underwater with these. http://www.newspeedmaster.com/html/clocks.htmlI guess that sort of stuff is good for rallies and such, but I really don't care what time it is when I go riding.

I like having a clock that's visible. Mine is mounted on the right hand control at one of the bolts.

I like the idea of a thermometer as well, but how accurate can one be when its sitting in direct sunlight?

Jim, I noticed that the plugs of the wiring for your signals are exposed. They are meant to be tucked up into the control housing. A lot of dealerships tend to do that because they don't know or just don't care.
BTW, geez you've got a lot of dials on that bike.

John, The turnsignal pigtail connectors don't bother me. But, I'll look into moving them anyway (just because I can.) I'm an engineering gauge freak, that's for sure. Soon to have a 2 1/16" wideband O2 gauge as well. Shameless pic ******-ing.

I have had a standard, non-lighted Clocks4Bikes clock for about 2 years now (stem nut mount) and I just saw the new electro-clock one so I just called and they are sending me a lighted model to fit my stem nut mount for $15.00. Great clocks and the stem nut mount is perfect for the america and speedmaster. gary

I check out their site and feel good about them. Your comment settles it. I'm going to pull the trigger on a clock/thermometer set.

Wojo thanks for the note about the signal clips. I do not like them hanging out. The left keep getting loose and not working . Spent five minutes fixing that problem. Thanks

I go to work at 5am and I like to see if I have time to ride some more before making that last right turn. Just ordered the lighted clocks4bikes model clock for my stem nut mount.

No problem, you'd be surprised at how many mechanics at dealerships set that up wrong for delivery of a bike.

That's my custom setup... running lights on a Rat.net member fabricated light bar. It also holds my 13W HID axillary lamp too.

I too put the plugs where they are suppose to be. Thought it was strange that they sit out like that. Little thing that you just don't know.

MARLINS.
Hands down. Even though the others look okay, there is a real element of quality to the MARLINS products that is as tangible as anything like that can be.
I, like others, thought the White-faced clock would match my speedo and tach, but after a couple of years, the red lettering of the MARLINS name started fading from the UV rays...just like the 10ths digits on my odometer and trip meter. The Marlins developed a bit of fog, or moisture inside, too. So when I contacted them about a replacement - (lifetime warranty?) I asked for a Black-faced clock as a replacement. It looks sweeter than the White-faced one did, and the white MARLINS logo will never fade. I get a lot more complements on it now - it just stands out - more conspicuous.
I want the stem-nut thermometer now.
