I recently removed the AI, installed the Freak, and put on some Bubs. Took the bike in to my local shop and had them dyno and rejet the carbs for me.
The results were 55 hp & 50 ft lbs of torque. I am disappointed with these numbers....shouldn't they be higher?

they actually sound really good for an 07 with the less radical cams. its not all about peak power its about the whole curve. even tho its nice to see big numbers

I haven't seen the dyno curve yet. The paper work is with the bike while I am stuck in another province.

i would have thought a little bigger numbers but not as familiar with 865 gains vs. the 790. Did they get the carb jetting right? Sprocket will effect RWHP readings too. I think part of my bigger numbers is I have a small front sprocket to go with my other changes. Frank is correct about the whole curve, better to have a nice HP/torque curve than to have all your HP at 1 RPM.

I trust they got the jetting correct. They dyno'd it a few times while using a "sniffer" to determine the proper jetting. This is the shop responsible for this beast http://www.echocycle.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=36&Itemid=74 . I will post the results when I get my hands on them. Ceuls

I was about the same on mine, and I ran lean during my test, hope to have my motorwork done soon and get a new dyno run. I think its a pretty nice power line, no big spikes or dips.

Roadworthy,
Are those numbers from your 790?

What is Echo charging for Dyno and set up now? Had them do my 790 in 04, had the first set of Bubs on that Echo had ever seen, they wanted to know where I got them pipes. Got 64 hp and 50 ft-lbs with jetting & pulling snorkles. Have to set up again after big bore is broke in.

Yeah, 790 with K&Ns, Scepter exhaust, Nology coils and wires with iridium plugs, and I believe 125/45 jets. Its lean, I shimmed the needles for a quick fix, haven't re-run to see if its still lean.

Jake,
I don't know the cost right now. Just moved to Regina and haven't picked the bike up yet. They estimated $400. I don't think it will be near that. I am sure if you pop buy Echo my bike will be there till Wednesday and they can tell you what it cost to do mine.
I was expecting numbers close to yours.
