i came with-in a 1/2 inch of getting a silver wing a couple of years ago, bought an '01 adventurer instead. i've always kinda regretted not getting the wing, wanted one ever since. maybe one of these days-------

Yes - and I do. It's really the wife's, but I ride it more than she does. Once you get over the image thing, they're a lot of fun. We started renting them on vacations and bought a 150cc (Retro style) that does about 60 mph tops. We'll soon get a second one and tow them both behind the RV.

Check out a neat scooter site; "Scootdawg.com". I can't imagine one as my only ride, but to cruise the neighborhood @ 80 mpg...

I am proud to say that I ride a Twist N Go 50cc scooter whenever it is nice enough to ride. I ride through town and never need to go over 35 and ride less than 2 miles each way. It is great jumping on it and just twisting the throttle and go. I don't feel too bad about not wearing a helmet or long pants (I do when I ride my America) I rarely go out of town, so the America is used very little and the scooter very often. I get at least double the mileage on the scooter also! I fully recommend getting a small little scooter if you don't need to go over 35 or 40!

Bahahaha....men on scooters crack me up. Reminds me of an adult eating at the kids table for Thanksgiving.

I rode one last summer on Vancouver Island. It was a little 50cc Honda Jazz or something like that. That poor thing could get me any faster than 50 km/hr.

If I had a lake cottage I would definately use one to scoot around the townsite.

Gilera 125.

Styled like a sports bike but all the mechanics are scooter derived in the back end. four stroke water cooled about 12HP.
The petrol tank Is false and lifts up for helmet storage etc.
Quite fun to ride. But I never did in shorts

The main problem we had was that the only tyres avalible where super soft and you only got about 2500 miles out of a back one at £45 a go.

My wife has a 650 burgman and it keeps up with anything on the highway, in fact it actually weighs a little more than my Speedmaster. It has the CVT and also you can manually shift the gears if you want.

I wanted to have a Vespa Scooter! My husband refused to let me have one! I have a 02 America and a 94 Ninja 600, he did not feel that I needed another one! I thought it would be nice to get some groceries!

Hey, the first bike I ever rode was a Scooter. Back in the mid 60s. A Honda 50 that looked kinda like this one.

Good times!

You betcha. I've had an '02 Honda Reflex 250 scooter and an older (1985) 250 also. Both fun to ride and the Reflex would surprise you for speed and power. You could forget where the gas tank was. Not an interstate machine, but you could run 65-70 mph all day with no problems. As far as who might see me or what they might say, I could care less.

Closet I ever had was a 1946 Allstate moped but never got it running and junked it when I was a kid. Wish I had kept it now, would be a cool piece for my collection.Never got it running because I couldn't find carb parts and had a bike running at the time so it wasn't high on my list of priorities.
