Well, not 'Orders' per say.... just my layoff notice. I've been working the aerospace industry for 27 years now and think I'm burned out. The kids are all in their 20s, I'm usidedown on my mortgage, and am at a crossroads in my life.

THEREFORE: I need a long vacation to sort things out. I have 6 weeks vacation that I will get paid for and a severance thats a little more. Sooooo, Ghrahm and I will be taking an extended motorcycle camping trip! Off to find America! (east of the Mississippi) We already had plans to be in Chattanooga on weekend of May 23, then will meander to Indidanapolis area on the weekend of the 30th, and then to the Cleveland area for June 7th. After that its' where the wind blows until a job appears, the $ runs out, or our butts get too sore.
We've never been to upstate New York, or the City.... Vermont, NH, or Maine. Will probably head home down the Blue Ridge/Skyline route.

Anybody have jobs, the meaning of life, o some Monkeybutt Powder? (or a backyard campsite?)

later, Tom.
Oh yeah, I'll help with the "Journal" also.

But, what do I know?

You can camp at my place, 55 mi. southwest of 'Nooga in the hills...lots of twisties to satisfy that "meaning of life" query...

Tom, happy travels to Ghrahm and you! 6 weeks sounds like a major 'discover america' time! Check in from time to time will ya? You can camp in my back yard, but i think you would want to roll more than 25 clicks before pitching camp! Sorry to hear that NASA's double edged sword hit ya on the back side.

I have almost 8 acres that aren't doing much right now. Good camping place as long as you don't mind half a dozen curious rabbits who might come to visit. I'll even make room in the garage for your bike. You can even use the bathroom, pet the horse and talk to the dogs if you want.
Lots of historical stuff nearby too, like Billy the Kid's grave and a really interesting archaeological site.
PM me if you want directions.

Sure. When we first looked at this place, the OL thought it would be a good thing to use the unused pasture on the west side for a bike campground. If the wind is right, I might even be talked into leading a guided tour.
