We have all seen him the old dude at the gas station saying he owned a 46 Triumph,or the guy at the stop light wanting to talk about your bike cause he had one. Heck I even complained one time about the girl who said her granfather road one just like this back in the day. Then I saw a picture of me from the rally. Was it the skinny 140 pounder with the curly brown hair? Nope. Was it the baby faced 30 year old I once ? Nope. Not the geezer yet but the greying beard crows nests starting by the eyes. The geezer is in there trying to get out. Wanting to stop someone just cause they have a Triumph. You know I remeber back in the 80s when I bought my first street bike.......ooops you see he is trying to get out. Thats where we all are heading yaknow the geezer is in there trying to get out. You know back in 82 I didnt have ohh know here he comes!!!

+1 Brother, I've been thinking the same thing lately. Of course I still look great. Growing old aint so bad, the alternative is bleak.

Speak for yourself!! I can't imagine a day when I stop riding.

"Geezer" is in the eye of the beholder.
To the kid on the crotch rocket wearing the flip-flops and wife-beater undershirt with his full face $700 helmet, I am a geezer.
To the bent over, white-haired gent who wants to have a "I remember when" with me, I'm a young whippersnapper.

Oh, yeah. I have seen the rally pics too. I first just hope to live to be as old as I already look, THEN I really hope to go ahead and be that geezer, who still remembers "back when".
The alternatives are not as cool at all.

I thought minors had to have parental supervision/consent to participate on this board

As Two Face would say, I'm of two minds about this. On one hand, at 50 I can tell that my 10 hour rides are a little less comfortable now, but on the other hand, kids today are so wimpy that I figure I'm still tougher than they are! Ride on!

Well Chris, the way I figure it, you aren't "officially" a geezer until Willard Scott wishes you a Happy Birthday one morning, dude!!!
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

You can't avoid growing old, but you CAN avoid growing up. I've always considered maturity an option, and highly overrated. The last Experienced Riders Course I took included a Gold Winger who was 79. He planned on riding as long as he could hold the bike up. He was shooting for 85.
