I was waiting at a light when another Triumph rode past. No Way!! Not in SE Kentucky! Now, I've lived here for several years and I've only seen one other Triumph (parked) and it had out of state plates. Something happened and I got sucked into its wake, forcing an unplanned right turn and hard acceleration. Although this wasn’t a TBA or Speedie I had to catch up to it, my bike was running on autopilot and I was just along for the ride. I pulled alongside the Rocket III and nodded, the rider’s first reaction was a polite nod back until he noticed my bike; polite nods became enthusiastic thumbs up and mutual admiration. I pulled away to the left as he continued his eastern trek. It was just a moment, but the Triumph bonds run deep.
I would be unstoppable if not for law enforcement and physics.

I almost chased down a guy on a Scrambler today...I was stuck behind a car at a light and by the time I got moving again I couldnt see it anymore. I was a bit embarrased at myself for the reaction but Im glad Im not the only one

I truly couldn't help myself . . . it was like seeing a long lost friend in a crowd.

Think it's because we are still a rare breed, I get a charge every time I spot a Triumph. Regardless of year or model.
The percentage you're paying is too high-priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams

I'm right there will all of you. I spotted a SM on my way into work a few days ago. Unfortunately I was in my truck and before I could get the window down he'd already shot off.

mmk, I'll chime in. A guy in his late fifties pulls up next to me, while I'm waitin' at a train crossing. He stops his work truck and rolls down the window and says.."Hey man, I got three older ones" as he nods at my bike. "Two 68's and a 66. How big is that engine?" Big 'ol smile on his face, then.."I gotta go get one of my bikes out, thanks man". Train cleared out and off I went..I'll see him on his bike, and soon.

I followed a guy pulling a really nice Boneville T100 through LA traffic last Monday. It was the sharpest T100 I have ever seen ~~ and I love the T100. I was in car so when I caught up with him I pointed to the bike and gave him two big thumbs up. He probably thought I was crazy. No comment.

Was getting ready to go home from work yesterday, when one of the technical instructors, along with 2 new mechanics, came up and asked me "is that your Triumph out there?" I was like, "Yep, she's a sweetie too"...The two new guys were shocked when I told them what I paid for her. "$6892 brand new"...they are going to the dealership today...Was overwhelmed with the price and neither one even knew the new Triumphs existed...

dont feel abnormal or embarased hahahahaha a few weeks ago i noticed a speedmaster was parked out in front of the license place and i was in 50mph traffic in the outside lane of a 3 lane road. i was so excited that at the first available place i made a U-turn, got back there and into the parking lot and found that they were testing that day and there were several bikes waiting to test for driveing permits. i walked up to the group of people waiting and ask who rides the Triumph. of course a lengthy conversation was had and i realized i needed to get back to work, ya see i was on the job and was on my way to fix an A/C and just as i got back into the truck my boss called wanting to know where i was hahahahahaha fortunatly he understands my love for the Marquee and was understanding hahahahahahaha its rare to see one and when i do i always try to catch up with whomever it is just in hopes of haveing a Triumph conversation with a person of like mind rather than that gas station conversation that i always seem to get about how they had a 19-- Bonneville or some such, you know the convo i am talkin about hahahahahaha
ENJOY!!!!! NEWT!!!!!
