Finally got the proper shims and all the clearences are close to perfect. So, the pic below shows the motor I've alway wanted for my Triumph (problem is, it's not "in" my Triumph, - yet).
The next pic shows the polished exhaust ports.
Then, after a couple hours, here a pic of the new hot motor mounted in my Speedy.
Now I'm wondering about if the stock bottom-end can take all the new top-end muscle (904cc, porting & polishing, five-angle valve job, & stage 1 cams).
It's still going to be a long, cold winter ahead, - so I'll be patient.
