Sorry Jerry you are the one spreading stories, I have owned both Ford and GM and by far the Chevy was the better all around durable work truck. My wrecker is also a Chevy and gets worked harder than any truck ever should and never gives me any trouble just regular up keep. I also used to sub-contract building houses and had 2 Chevys that employees used, same thing never a problem that any other truck wouldn't have had too. I can direct you to several big contractors here if you want to ask them how their fleet of Chevys are holding up. In fact the one contractor my friend works for had a Ford steak body and that thing was broken more than it was running.
