Been a Chevy man as long as I can remember and love them but I did have an 88 F-150 4X4 with the 300 6 in it with std shift. It was a good truck if you had really wanted a car. We drove it all over (I owned it because it was junked to me with only 72,000 on it with a bad break line and 1 broken leaf spring) It was a good car never gave me any trouble but when loaded it wandered all over the road. Don't know if Ford ever fixed it but they tended to give up carrying capacity for ride. I could put as much as I wanted in my 85 Chevy and it drove the same minus some excelleration when it was really heavy.
