I'm glad to hear this had a happy ending, Michael. This is excellent service from Ducati.
But, I don't think I'm being naive here when I say that I think Triumph probably would also make the very same decision to cover the cost of repairs in the event of a frame failure of any sort, as long as said frame hadn't been modified through either accident or intent.
However, I doubt even that highly regarded italian firm would feel compelled to replace a C.D.I.unit or a blown out airbox, due mainly to the fact that the latter incident might have been caused(but of course, not necessarily so) by some form of miss-adjustments on the carburators or F.I. unit performed by some unskilled technician or owner, and the former is an electronic unit which are always subject to some form of failure and which is seldomly if ever covered by any vehicle manufacturers once the waranty on the vehicle has expired.
