Back when soda vending machines first started to take paper bills a friend of mine figured out or was taught that if you took that clear plastic "packing" tape & attached about 2 feet of it on both sides (only about 1/2 inch or less of contact on the bill)... the machines would pull the bill in, give you your frosty beverage of choice... spit out change
then all you had to do was pull your bill back out of the machine via the 2 feet of tape...
