So my saddle bag brackets are actually meant for a Yamasquaw V-Star, they cost me a mear $70 instead of the standard $300 going rate for these $5.42 Chinese manufactured items.
My question is, is there any affordable sissy bars with a luggage rack out there that is close and can be made to work rather than having to pawn the old lady's wedding ring so I can afford them?

I have side plates off a HD softail. $20 (shipped) off ebay. You have to cut the back portion of the plates off with a dremel, and hit the edge with Krylon, but if you take you time it looks real good. The plates slide between the fender and the supports. It looks much better than the Triumph brackets in my opinion. The shovel head era back rests fit perfectly with this set up. Maybe others do as well, but the two back rests I have were off of shovel heads (the standard backrest was an Ebay purchase- $15 shipped!). I don't have a rack yet, but I don't see why a rack from the same model HD wouldn't fit. I'll post some pics and get the dimmensions if I get a chance tonight. The back rest and side plates can be aquired for less than $40 if you are a smart ebayer.
