Hi, The Shallow Grave site looks great. You can expect us lot from Scotland again for September. Do we need passports and vaccinations to go that far south?

A reminder: Graham (Gameboy) still has quite a few cloth badges from Dent that he paid for himself. C'mon, guys, buy one off him and have a reminder of the first(ish) BA.com rally in the UK. If you ordered one and didn't pick it up, let Graham know.

That is bad news, I think in future people should pay up front then at least the person ordering them does not lose a bundle of cash.. I think I ordered one for Malcolm Graham, I will contact him tomorrow and ask him if he got one.
As for everyone else come on guys n girls get your hand in your pockets

Biggest, not the first. Not even first(ish). The 'usual suspects' have been having UK ba.com meets for nigh on four years my old china.
Too bad Graham got lumbered with all those patches though.

Hi Ray, don't know about the Farmyard yet. That's the weekend of the Royal Highland Show and we're (my wife and I) showing one of our Arabs (horses that is) So it would be a bit tight time wise but we might manage down depending on how the horse does.

If any brave souls fancy a run up to Scotland then there are a couple of events up here worth a visit, the Alba West at Drymen the week after the Farmyard and the BMF Bikefest at Kelso on the 11th, 12th and 13th of July. Both good events in beautiful locations. (no passports needed!)

If you are anything like me when I use to show my Fell Pony, you have no chance, he won everything going. Good luck Gordon

Alba West is our local show and as such I will be there with a few friends. Any body going give me a shout. This is the first year at Drymen since moving from Eglinton Park. I have been attending these rallies since they were held in Strathclyde Park. The show is not as big as some of the English shows (Farmyard, Stormin) but great fun with quite a bit of Scottish entertaintainment on show.

Midges are a phenomenon mainly on the west coast, the Alba West is in Drymen and there were very few midges last year, also the BMF is at Kelso and I don't remember many mdges there either. Come to think about it, I don't remember much about either of them!

Update. It seems that Shallow Grange is venue of choice for most on here. Over the course of the next week or so, I'll be collating a list of names and available dates and deciding on the best weekend for our bash. Get your votes in now, those who haven't done it.

Ooooooh, get her!
You're right though, lucky for us then it wasn't "a few old blokes meeting for a pint". Obviously we'll have to bow to your vast exeprience eh?

Well, the meeting for a common purpose, regardless whether it's a few "old blokes" or a stadium full of zealots, is still a rally. When the "usual suspects" started meeting up four years ago, BA's and Speedmasters were pretty thin on the ground. So a certain amount of kudos needs to be given, to some of them for actually getting the ball rolling. Being a "usual suspect" at the Euro Rallies, I'm wondering why the experienced ralliers hav'nt put there names down to go yet.

We all know that you had severe obstacles last year and that otherwise you would have been there ... you ... usual suspect! (I am just wondering how 'usual suspect' would be interpreted by the Italian Carabinieri in Iseo )

Looks like the best weekend is the last one in Sept (26/27th) so I'm gonna go with that. Apologies to those that can't make it, although I don't think anyone's left out. So, now, I want to know who's definitely coming, which nights they're staying, whether they'll want breakfast and which days they'll want it. I'd appreciate a PM with just the relevant information. Cheers. Spread the word, people. (Camping: £5pppn. Brekky: £5. Beer: £who knows?!!) http://www.shallowgrange.com/

B&B accommodation: due to the money involved, if you're hoping to stay in the B&B, I'm going to let the individual/s concerned arrange this. Let me know regardless, so I can add you to the list of attendees. Comon, peeps, send me a message; I'm feeling unloved.
