Well unfortunately I have to be practical about my next bike. No crotch rockets, retro Ducatis(the Paul Smart LE is schweet!) or Norton girls. It has to be comfortable for 2up touring, and hard bags would be nice according to my wife. I've already laid down the law that it won't be a Gold Wing or a Harley Ultra. I'm just not into 800lb Gorillas...err...bikes.

So here's what I'm looking at to buy in about a year and half when the monthly budget around here can handle it.

Alright, I know what you're thinking...that bike has a face only a mother could love. But I already have a good looking bike, one that draws attention. The V-Strom is strictly for touring or 1up jaunts down some dirt roads. And it has that torquey 1000cc L twin engine. No more dogged downshifts up steep mountain grades with the wife on the back. This will pull stumps up a hill, and cruise at 90 all day long with it's overdrive 6th gear. Weighs about the same as our bikes too.

Sucks being practical!
