Your bike should have been re-jetted when the pods and exhaust were put on. You need to find out whats in there your main should have been changed out for a larger one. Depends on your elevation what size you need. To correct the popping you need to have a larger pilot jet installed or put one in yourself, probably about a 45 and then adjust your pilot screws for best idle. You should still have like a rumble on decel when jetted right but not a lot. The back fire could be a few different things but start by making sure they sealed the pipes with some high temp RTV when they put them on and that your header pipes are tight at the head. A leak in either place will cause backfiring but so will a very lean pilot circuit.
