Well, sh!t, that's basically the look I wanted to go for with a Speedmaster. Except I would keep more of the Speedmaster intact. But definitely that's the overall look.

Nicely done. I'd like mid controls and more width and pullback on the bars, but that's just nitpicking and making the bike comfortable for the specific owner.

Seat Position :ca.40-50 cm i estimate! Now look on foot-Pegs
The driver must be very little ! And it must be a cramp
for driving ...i can'T believe it

I opened the pic as normal then right clicked, got the properties, as normal and copied the URL address, as normal but it wouldn't show up when I pasted it, NOT as normal!!??

You didn't use the url of the image... you used the url of the php script that loads the image 
To see what url you actually needed, right click on the image that's in these message and click on properties.

Well, I cheat. I just copy the image to my hardrive and then host it using Image Shack. Not exactly ethical, but some of these sites with pics can't take the additional hit to their bandwidth, or all you end up with is a red x.
I've never been able to satisfy the ethical question in my mind...and yes my mind is a vast place, fairly void of anything useful. On the one hand, pics are said to be the intellectual property of the owner, and you shouldn't copy them and use at your whim. But there are also ways of encrypting them to prevent people from copying them, and if you don't you're fair game to people like me.
In the end I guess I'm an unethical person. Does that make me a "real biker"?

I have to second Hotdog's opinion. There's not a whole lot of room on that bike, not that there's meant to be. I'm just having a hard time picturing someone sitting on it. Let's see some action pics

I was reading the thread referred to in the first post and it looks like the builder may be changing the peg and bar positions....

Nice look but I wouldn't get a single seater. No space for a rider. Pickin' up a sissy bar this week for my BonneAmer so I can take it for longer rides with wife or daughter on. Wife will eventually, probably, hopefully, start riding my Thunderbird. More people riding on more bikes is better than more people on one bike. Counted seven (that's 7) members of one family on a motorscooter couple years ago in India.

It looks like this one has made it to ebay. Thruxton Bobber on ebaySaw it posted over on the Delphi Bonneville forum. At least I think it's the same bike. That Springer front end sure looks like the same one. Front brake has been removed though, and different foot controls, plus a sprung seat and a few other items.

That thing looks pretty mean......didn't they say that the bike was wrecked? On the ebay description it says they "threw away all the b.s. that was on it"? HMMMMMMMM........Still nice though, very nice.

Stay away! even though its a beautiful bike, stay away. Gas Monkey garage has it up for sale. Gas Monkey garage is a some guy with money who buys other peoples hotrods and pawns them off as their own creations. I read the Jockey Journal and it looks like the kid sold it to Gas Monkey. Thats why in the Ebay ad it mentions throwing away all the ******. They don't mention that the previous owner wrecked it. If you read the ebay ad it certainly sounds like they created it. I am a member of the Jalopy Journal(H.A.M.B)www.jalopyjournal.com Do a search on both the jalopy and jockey journals for the keywords "Gas Monkey Garage" Nothing but bad news.

Well I don't know how beautiful it is without a front brake. I'm all for the retro bobber look, but in today's age of cell phone using idiiot cagers, I want a front brake.
But thanks for the heads up Paul. I should have included that in my original post about how this bike was built from a wrecked Thruxton and it wasn't mentioned in the ebay ad.
Btw, what's that thing sticking out from the end of the rear axle with an arm on it extending to the rim? Is that some kind of brake?

Yup, looks like a not-so-well executed plate bracket. Wouldn't one coming straight up from the axel look better? I'm with you on the front brake!! I'll take a negative score in style points for some basic hardware!

Yeah, but I'd love to know about the forks - what brand and how he got them to fit. I've seen lots of discussion on fitting springers and many problems have been identified, but at last here's someone that's done it.

It says the front-end is from a '46 Harley. I would assume from the EL model. Its not a easy peice to get but not extremely rare. The Standard Bonny frame is a little different than ours but I don't know the exact differences between the necks. Springers can be made to fit our bikes. There are many people out there who are making them. Its gonna come down to the fact that your bike will have to be on-site in order for the builder to make one thats all.

I guess I missed this last year, but I actually brokered the deal to sell this for Gas Monkey Garage. I spoke at length about this bike with the owner and they did all the work in house. I had the opportunity to look this thing over in pretty good detail and I saw nothing that I'd be too concerned about. To this day, this bike remains one of the coolest Thruxtons I've seen.
